Read, Write, Count – Scottish Book Trust resources

Scottish Book Trust have now provided further information and resources to support the Read, Write, Count campaign taking place in the new session.  All P1, P2 and P3 pupils will be gifted a bag with a variety of contents (depending on stage) such as books, magnetic letters and pens etc. The resources provided by the Scottish Book Trust include various PowerPoint presentations  – one for staff and another for parents – letter templates for introducing the campaign to parents and also advice and guidance on how to gift the bags for maximum impact. All of these can be edited for your own purposes and needs. Each local authority has a named contact for the campaign – I am that person for Aberdeen City so, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. This is a golden opportunity to get more parents on board so please get behind the campaign and spread the word as much as possible.  The link is below:
