15th Sep 2016 – Victorian Aberdeen – 16:00 – 18:00, Rubislaw Church Centre
The course provides participants with the opportunity to take part in what pupils’ experience when engaging in our Victorian Aberdeen learning and teaching units. Teachers will work with documents, photographs, artefacts and maps of the period to experience how pupils learn using personal record sheets. They will also be taken on a short trail which features buildings of the period to see how pupils learn from the visible remains of Victorian Aberdeen.

8th Sep 2016 – Researching Aberdeen’s WW11 Experience – 16:00 – 18:00, Rosemount Community Centre
Participants will learn about how the outbreak of war affected people living in Aberdeen. Working with artefacts, documents, maps and photographs teachers will see how pupils learn using structured personal record sheets. They will also have the opportunity to walk a structured street trail linked to the period, and learn how a concrete air raid shelter was used during the conflict
