Wednesday 12th October 2016  – Settling Troubled Pupils to Learn

A half day training course with International Expert – Louise Bomber.

This half day course is suitable for a wide range of proffessionals from Education, Social Care and Health settings; who are interested in understanding how to settle a troubled pupil to learn within the education context.

About the Course:

The course will consist of a morning reflecting together on behaviour as communication and how relational experiences can
affect that communication. Louise will bring a wealth of experience, expertise and insight into this specialist area after journeying
with many hurting children over the years as both a therapist and specialist Attachment Lead Teacher.
Ways of being, relating and doing will be considered and provide you with additional tools and strategies to use in your direct
work with children and young people.

7th November 2016 – Children & Young People Under Pressure Conference

A “MUST” attend conference for all those working in Schools, Colleges, Universities, Mental Health and
Social Care settings. Take away plenty of practical ideas, strategies and resources that you can use tomorrow!

Anxiety, depression, self-harm and eating disorders make up the four commonest mental illnesses in under 21s. Not only
does this mean that a vast number of children and young people are unhappy, but also that they are underperforming at
school, college and university; as well as in the early stages of their careers.
This conference brings together some of the most experienced practitioners in the field who are enthusiastic and inspiring
speakers too. They will share with you their knowledge and increase your understanding of these key mental health issues;
as well as providing you with information and practical strategies on how best to respond and support children and young
people in your care and staff too!
