‘Children are the Future: Let’s Listen and Learn’
Integrated Children’s Services Aberdeen Annual Conference, Aberdeen Beach Ballroom
Monday 7th of November 2016
Our Annual Integrated Children’s Services Conference takes place on Monday, 7th November 2016.
All staff and partners across all sectors working with/for children and young people across Aberdeen are invited and encouraged to attend. We would be grateful if you could send your representative(s) for one of the two conference sessions.
There will be an afternoon session running from 13:00-16:00 hrs and a twilight session from 16:30-19:30 hrs for those who can’t make it in the afternoon.
This year’s theme will focus on how we effectively engage young people in the planning process and listen to their views on what they think are priority areas of need for children and young people. We will have a keynote panel of young people to open the conference and throughout the day there will be workshops centred around youth engagement and supports – including several workshops led by young people themselves!
SHMU and the Creative Learning team will also be there through the day to promote the conference and get feedback from delegates.
In addition to this, as part of the development of the new Children’s Services Plan 2017-2020, we also want to use the day give you an opportunity to voice your opinion on what you think our core priorities for children and young people should be in the coming years.
