Bookbug Primary 1 Family Bag Introduction Session is now available on GLOW

Chris Leslie, Scottish Book Trust’s Schools Resource Developer, has recorded an event on GLOW TV designed to support P1 teachers, school literacy co-ordinators and library staff, who are gifting the Bookbug Primary 1 Family Bag this year.
The 30-minute session covers:

  • The aims of the Bookbug Primary 1 Family Bag
  • Participating in The Bookbug Picture Book Prize and Book Week Scotland
  • Introduction to the Books included this year and ideas for activities extend the book
  • Fun and practical bag gifting ideas

Bookbug P1 Family Bag gifting stories!
Scottish Book Trust wants to hear your Bookbug P1 Family Bag gifting stories! We are looking for creative bag gifting ideas and examples of best practice across Scotland.

Schools or libraries interested in getting involved in P1 Family Bag gifting case studies should contact Emma. Selected participants will take part in a 15-minute telephone interview in early December and their school or library will receive a story tent, a reading cushion and a selection of books from Scottish Book Trust.
