Aberdeen Guarantees – Year 2 Online Communications Evaluation

During YEAR 2 of Aberdeen Guarantees, we have continued to work collectively with partners to further develop the brand which can be used to promote all local learning, training and work
opportunities within Aberdeen City.

Over the past year, opportunities have been promoted in a number of different ways online through the circulation of a weekly newsletter, updating the www.aberdeenguarantees.com website, posting on the www.facebook.com/aberdeenguarantees,https://uk.linkedin.com/in/abe…https://plus.google.com/+Aberd…and tweeting through www.twitter.com/abguarantees.

The main objective of this online activity is to promote the wide range of training and apprenticeship opportunities which are available within Aberdeen and North East of Scotland region as well as celebrating some of the good news stories and approaches which are supporting young people into positive and sustained destinations.

Between November 2015 to October 2016, we have posted and shared 692 updates on Facebook, sent 551 tweets, had 33,075 website users and over 29403 views of our weekly newsletter. Marketing has been restricted to a limited number of leaflets which have been distributed at careers and information events. No funding has been spent on online marketing through either promoted posts or paid advertisements.

In November 2016, we consulted with users of Aberdeen Guarantees to help shape our plans for 2017 and beyond. Feedback has been collated and this along with a detailed summary of the use of the various sites have been included within this report.

At the end of November 2016, we have also launched a new look website on www.aberdeenguarantees.com which includesfresh new graphics and layout as well as additional features which we will look to develop through 2017. These features include the ability for users to create a personal profile to allow users to receive email alerts on posts that they register an interest in.

Thank you for your continued support!
