Scottish Contractors Group (SCG) Skills Event 16th Feb 2017

On behalf of The Scottish Contractors Group (SCG), Morgan Sindall would like to invite local school students (S3-6) from Aberdeen and the surrounding area to an interactive skills event.

The event will commence with some brief presentations on the construction industry and the widely varying roles within it, a virtual ‘fly-through’ of the new Marischal Square development, interactive construction-based activities, including use of Virtual Reality goggles, as well as a tour around our live site.

Details are as follows:

Date:                     Thursday 16th February 2017

Time:                     0930 – 1230 (Tea, Coffee, Breakfast rolls will be provided)

Venue:                  Aberdeen City Council’s Town House, Aberdeen, AB10 1LP

Alongside Morgan Sindall, we will have representatives from other SCG members as well as Skills Development Scotland, Construction Industry Training Board and the Scottish Council for Development and Industry. Students will have an opportunity to speak to these representatives as well as trainees, apprentices, graduates and senior managers in roles such as Engineering, Design, Architecture, Technology about their jobs, experiences and different routes into the industry.

We can accommodate up to 100 students and teacher support and will confirm on a ‘first come, first served basis’.  Thank you.
