Hello and welcome to my new Education and Children’s Services blog: the Directorate Diaries! I am delighted to be able to share with you what is happening across Education and Children’s Services and celebrate the wonderful work taking place across Aberdeen. I look forward to developing the blog with you over the next few months.
This week I had the honour to join the first band of ‘Unfearties’. Unfearties are individuals who stand up for children’s rights, voice and social justice. This year the Children’s Parliament turns twenty-one and to mark this significant milestone, a brave band of twenty-one individuals have agreed to become ‘Unfearties’. We are committed to ensuring children play a significant role in shaping the world around them. I am proud to stand up for all children and promote greater awareness and understanding of children’s rights. If you would like to join this brave band of Unfearties you can find out more on the website of the Children’s Parliament: http://www.childrensparliament.org.uk/about-us/unfearties/
