The University of Aberdeen will host the Enterprising Mathematics Challenge at the Elphinstone Hall on Monday 27 March. This challenge is open to Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils in Aberdeen City , Aberdeenshire, Moray, Angus, Highland, Stirling, Fife and Dundee. Each school can enter a team of three pupils with an accompanying teacher/adult. A team should consist of at least one
boy and one girl but need not be a mixture of P6 and P7. Whilst there will be an element of competition between schools, the emphasis of the day will be on working together, mathematical thinking skills and enjoyment. If you have come along in previous years and enjoyed the experience, pass the word. All participants and their schools will receive certificates of participation, there are prizes for the best poster and the over-all winning team will be presented with the Challenge trophy.
Further information and resources can be found in the attached documents. This information has also been shared with all Primary Numeracy Coordinators.
