Sumdog Maths Week Scotland Contest

The contest has started but it is not too late to enter!

As part of the government’s Maths Week Scotland Sumdog is running the official nationwide maths contest!

All teachers have to do to enter is go here and tick your classes (you may need to sign into your Sumdog account first).

To play pupils must select Contest from the activities available and play any of the games – their answers contributing to the class average. Any questions answered when Contest is not selected will not count towards the contest.

This contest follows our successful contest during National Digital Learning Week in May, where 2,000 classes at 500 schools took part. The winning class receive a special trophy with press coverage as well as all the usual contest prizes (class subscription, certificates, house items). There will also be a special event with John Swinney at Holyrood.

Key information:

  • Contest runs from 8th – 14th September 2017
  • You don’t need to play all week to get a high score. Every student plays up to 1000 questions
  • It’s based on a class average so encourages a team spirit
