Revised Managing Substance Misuse Policy/Procedure

The revised  Managing Substance Misuse policy/procedure was recently approved at the Staff Governance Committee. Various changes have been made to the document including the addition of a section under supporting provisions in relation to employees who voluntarily identify themselves as having a substance misuse problem; the inclusion of a section on relapse; and an extension of the list of substances covered by the policy.

The revised policy/procedure and accompanying guidance can be viewed under the ‘Ask HR’ Zone pages and are also available from line managers. They apply with immediate effect.
