Using interpreters to effectively work with parents of EAL

Learn how to use the available interpreting services to support parent meetings and consultations. Interpreters provide you with a professional and accurate voice in other language aiming to promote an environment of effective and efficient interaction.

During this 2.5 hours session you will learn about:

  • Protocol and potential difficulties interpreters and service users may face
  • How to tackle and anticipate difficult situations with clients who don’t have English language skills
  • What to expect from sessions involving interpreting into a different language

This interactive session will offer useful information and solutions in order to take the best advantage of interpreting and translation services.
