A Fun-Filled Viking Story Workshop!

By Odin’s trousers!

David Macphail author of the  ale-splashing, meat-ripping, hatchet-in-the-head kind of saga that is Thorfinn the Nicest Viking  will be taking over the Children’s Library at Aberdeen Central Library  on Saturday 17 November, 10.30 – 11.30.

Anyone in primaries 3 to 5 is encouraged to attend this workshop but should prepare themselves for the wrath of the Norsemen if they are brave enough to engage.

David  will read from his books to inspire his audience to create their very own Viking characters,  which will then become players in an Aberdonian-themed story.

The children will work together and explore creative techniques to engage with history and the written word. They will also learn more about dark age Scottish history.

Anyone wishing to attend this free event need to book as places are limited. To book contact 01224 652500 or email libraryevents@aberdeencity.gov.uk.
