Forehill Primary School’s First LEGO League Team was awarded first place in the Core Values section of the competition held recently at Dundee and Angus College, Dundee.
They were awarded a coveted LEGO League trophy for their presentation on their chosen research project, which explored how a sustainable water supply may be established on Mars.
The panel of judges awarded the team first place for their demonstration of the Core Values of discovery, integration, inclusion, cooperation, innovation and teamwork, both during the prepared presentation and the following question and answer section.
This was the culmination of many hours spent after school, working with their teacher both on their research project and designing and programming a LEGO Mindstorm Robot to complete a range of missions. This was a fabulous achievement by the youngest team in the competition, who were competing against students up to 16 years of age from across the North of Scotland, finishing as the best placed primary school team.
