Bookbug Picture Book Prize

The Bookbug Picture Book Prize  celebrates the very best Scottish picture books and encourages reading for pleasure in homes, nurseries, primary schools and libraries across the country. It provides a great opportunity to encourage family reading and to develop the partnership between  home, school and library. The shortlist for the 2018 Prize was announced in August and voting will end on 08 December 2017.

The 3 titles shortlisted for the Prize are those gifted to all children in the Bookbug Primary 1 Family bag and the winning picture book is voted for entirely by children across Scotland.  Aberdeen City Libraries is delighted to support the Prize by ensuring that each library has copies of the shortlisted titles and a fantastic voting box. Why not use the Prize as an opportunity to arrange a visit to your local library and encourage the children to vote.
