• Current legislation and policy
• Responsibilities of practitioner
• Good practice case studies across Scotland

14th Feb 2019 – Let’s Talk about Engaging Parents

In this session Dr Janet Goodall will consider the following:
• Highlight research about the effects of parental engagement on achievement, behaviour, etc.
• Lead discussions around your school culture – what works and why some parents don’t come in, don’t seem to engage…
• Consider effective ways to overcoming barriers that will increase and improve getting parents involved
