Outdoor Learning CPD Opportunities

 

13th March 2019 – Introducing Loose Parts Play and Learning – 16:00 – 18:00 at Mile End School

This is a practical and mainly outdoor twilight. The objectives include:
• To introduce the Theory of Loose Parts and how it can be used to provide creative class lessons and engaging, happy playtimes.
• To consider a whole school approach and how to ensure lunchtime loose parts play projects become embedded in practice.
• Participants must wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather and ground conditions on the day.

14th March 2019 – A Framework for Curriculum-based Outdoor Learning – 16:00 – 18:00 at Mile End School

This is a practical and mainly outdoor twilight. The objectives include:
• To illustrate an open-ended framework which can be used to quickly create outdoor lessons in any curricular area.
• To consider ways that teachers can capture improvements or impact of frequent, regular outdoor sessions with their class.
• To signpost teachers to lots of free, downloadable resources from a range of different organisations that provide a breadth of outdoor ideas and possibilities
Participants must wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather and ground conditions on the day.
