Alchemy Project

Schools in Aberdeen City are being offered a unique opportunity to borrow objects from collections held by Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums.

Although the Art Gallery is still being redeveloped, the team want to make sure that the people of Aberdeen continue to have access to the wonderful collections and get the opportunity to see them in new and unexpected locations.

A range of objects have been selected for schools to choose from. These can be displayed in your school, which will hopefully inspire exciting learning outcomes for you and your class.

The team will accept one application per class or year group, but schools can submit multiple applications. The team will work exclusively with 20 classes over the life of the project.

The team are particularly interested in the connection between art and science. In your application form please outline how you plan to incorporate the object into your teaching. What outputs and outcomes you hope to achieve and how you will link art and science in your teaching.

Applications should be submitted before the winter break and the team will inform schools of the outcome of their application in January 2016.
