Scottish Book Awards- Get Voting!

Dear All,

The voting deadline for the Scottish Children’s Book Awards is fast approaching! Voting closes on Friday 5 February 2016. Winners in the Bookbug, Younger Readers and Older Readers categories are chosen by children and young people from across Scotland and the Awards provide a great opportunity to promote reading for pleasure. Winners in each of the three categories will be announced on 2 March 2016.  Please encourage your school to take part in the voting process.

All schools in Aberdeen who vote either directly with Scottish Book Trust or through their local community library will receive a certificate, signed by the authors, specially commissioned by Aberdeen City Libraries. If you are voting through your local library please ensure that the school name is noted on the voting form. Staff in all Aberdeen City Libraries have made Scottish Children’s Book Awards’ voting boxes. Library Bear, wearing his special SCBA t-shirt, is currently touring the libraries along with Guthrie Goose from Aberdeen Art Gallery, to choose the best voting box. Why not visit your local library to see what the staff have created?

Thank you.
