Aberdeen Performing Arts new Teachers’ Network

We have received an exciting invitation from our Creative Learning Colleagues to attend the above network meeting.  This is a great opportunity to meet with the team to discuss and help shape future school programmes. You can find further details below:

I’m getting in touch to inform you of Aberdeen Performing Arts’ new Teachers’ Network, and to invite you to our launch event.

This informal network of teachers from Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire is an opportunity for you to help shape and develop our programme for schools which currently includes backstage tours, teachers’ CPD and bespoke educational workshops, as well as group discounts and booking process for shows at APA venues.

We are launching this network with an event on Monday 13th June in His Majesty’s Theatre Corporate Suite at 6pm.  During the evening, teachers in attendance will be given the opportunity to meet members of our Creative Learning and Marketing teams, as well as other teachers from the area, contributing to an open discussion about our future plans. Following the meeting, we would like to extend an invitation for you to join us at the opening night performance of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ favourites Vincent Simone & Flavia Cacace’s ‘The Last Tango’.

Refreshments will be provided during the event, which is free of charge and open to teachers who work with children of any age, ability or circumstance. We would very much welcome your attendance, and we encourage you to pass this information onto any colleagues or teacher friends. Tickets are limited to 2 per school.

As there are a limited amount of tickets available to this event & performance, I would ask for you to confirm your attendance by Monday 6th June. There will be a waiting list created for any teachers who may express interest after the event is full.

I look forward to hearing from you, and I do hope to see you and/or your colleagues on Monday June 13th.

Kind Regards,

Lisa Mathieson

Creative Learning Manager
