(Assistive Technology for Learning Across Scotland)
TASSCC represents Aberdeen City Council in a national Assistive Technology (AT) group called ATLAS. Education representatives from each local authority in Scotland meet together annually and contribute to national development work in the AT field, sharing expertise in using technology to provide additional support for learning.
TASSCC would like to invite all practitioners in our Aberdeen City Schools and Services who have an interest in Assistive Technology to join a new ATLAS Aberdeen collective.
What is Assisitive Technology in Education?
Assistive Technology is the use of technology to break down barriers caused by physical or learning additional support needs, giving pupils self-confidence, allowing them to reach their full potential, giving them a greater sense of independence, making the curriculum accessible and available to all, and boosting engagement and participation in learning.
This collective will drive forward the accessibility agenda, share experiences and good practice of using technology to support learners, identify new technologies, highlight training needs of staff and widen the knowledge and experience of colleagues when using Assistive Technology. This group will make positive changes across the City and be a voice for those children who have a right to access their learning.
We are accepting proposals to join ATLAS Aberdeen through the form below, which will remain live until the Easter break on the 31st March. Please contact email@example.com for any further information.
